Mr. Nathan GASBHAYIJA is a Rwandan expert in Trade, Private sector development and investment, with over 20 years of experience in public and private sectors across East Africa Community Partner States.
He has an in-depth understanding of the regional economic communities and has participated fully in negotiations of international, continental, and regional agreements. His previous roles as Director of Trade and Economic Affairs and Director General at the Ministry of East Africa Community equipped him with leadership, guidance, supervision, and coordination to the technical work of the department and provided direct oversight to employees.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Council of SMEs in Rwanda.
Nathan holds a master’s in business administration from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, and a bachelor’s in accounting sciences. As a Rwandan citizen, he is fluent in English, Kinyarwanda, and is conversational in French and Kiswahili.
